The EGAINIA of St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church

This was a historic time in the life of our community. After many years of hard work, love and dedication, our beautiful Church building has been completed. On January 12, 2020 our Church became a sacred house, the house of the Lord, and a consecrated holy place forever through the Holy and Divine Service of Consecration (Egainia) performed by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.

This Divine Service is Sacramental- the baptism of our church building into a holy place. However, unlike other Sacraments, Consecration is not received by an individual, but rather it is a blessing for the whole St. Basil Community.
